UFC Specials Air Every Sunday on Balls Sports Channel

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champions Dominick Cruz, Frankie Edgar and undisputed George “Rush” St-Pierre (GSP) must not relax as fierce and equally unblemished contenders are on their way to steal their titles.

Balls (SkyCable Channel 34), home of the UFC in the Philippines, proudly airs the much-awaited special bouts of some of UFC’s most sought after fighters.

Reigning UFC bantamweight champ Cruz puts his title on the line against top contender Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in “UFC on Versus: Cruz vs. Johnson” on October 2, 9:30a.m.

Alongside Cruz and Johnson’s match is the must-see explosive collision of two heavyweights Pat “HD” Barry and Stefan “Skyscraper” Struve. Plus, Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will lock heads with Charlie “The Spaniard” Brenneman in a breathtaking welterweight fight.

Two championship bouts also set the stage for an unforgettable Sunday of mixed martial arts action. Edgar graces the exciting four-hour UFC 136, as he battles with unbeaten competitor Gray Maynard for the third time. Featherweight phenom Jose Aldo also defends his title against greedy veteran Kenny Florian while middleweight contenders Chael Sonnen and Brian “All American” Stann will meet in one of the highly anticipated fights of the year. UFC 136 airs on October 9, 9:30a.m. (Same-day replay on Studio 23 at 10p.m.)

It’s been a year now since GSP hit Manila. Now, he’s geared up to achieve another milestone in UFC 137, as he puts his title and nine-fight winning streak at stake against top welterweight contender Carlo “The Natural Born Killer” Condit , who’s all-out in toppling the longtime king of the Octagon. Former two- division champion BJ Penn also squares off against unblemished Nick Diaz. UFC 137 airs on October 30, 9:30a.m.(Same-day replay on Studio 23 at 10p.m.)

Also this October, current Light Heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones is set to visit Manila and Cebu for an exciting UFC Media Tour.
