27-year-old Chris Hemsworth was born and raised in Melbourne. His first acting stint was in the Australian soap opera “Home and Away.” He then moved to Hollywood and bagged some supporting roles in the films Star Trek, A Perfect Getaway and Ca$h.
His biggest break was when he was chosen to portray the Marvel superhero “Thor” in the big screen adaptation of Paramount Pictures. He is set to reprise this role in the ambitious screen adaptation of the graphic novel “The Avengers.”
He is the older brother of 21-year-old Liam Hemsworth, the leading man of teen superstar Miley Cyrus in the film “The Last Song.” Liam and Miley dated for a year and a half.
And bad news ladies, Chris is already married…to an older woman! Lady luck is none other than 34-year-old Spanish actress Elsa Pataky.
