May 2, Holiday or Not?
NOT!
As you may have noticed by now, our President Noynoy Aquino is not keen on moving a holiday to the nearest working day if it scheduled on a Saturday or a Sunday. Perhaps now you finally thought of one thing positive about the Arroyo administration, am I right?
Malacañang has not moved Labor Day on Monday, May 2. According to Proclamation No. 84, today is Labor Day, May 1.
If you’re asking when is the next non-working holiday, that’s on June 20 (Monday). It’s for the commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of our national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
