NEWS5’s Public Service, through its emergency rescue unit, RESCUE5, affirms its commitment to serve the public this Holy Week via “Aksyon Semana Santa.”
“Aksyon Semana Santa” is the motorist assistance project of News5 Public Service, in partnership with Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, which aims to provide emergency medical aid to motorists travelling to the North.
To ensure that every motorist gets to their destination safely, NEWS5 Public Service will deploy its RESCUE5 teams, along with first aiders of Philippine Red Cross, to different posts along the stretch of North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) and Subic-Clark-Tarlac-Expressway (SCTEx). RESCUE5 includes paramedic-reporters and news personnel who had undergone training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
The RESCUE5 teams will be stationed in several posts along NLEx and SCTEx on Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Black Saturday and Easter Sunday. “Aksyon Semana Santa” will continue to provide assistance to motorists on their way back to Metro Manila on the first few hours of Monday (April 25).
