Coco Martin (born Rodel Nacianceno on December 6, 1983) is a kapamilya actor dubbed as the “Prince of Philippine Independent Cinema” having been cast in numerous critically acclaimed independent films. He appeared in tv series such as “Ligaw na Bulaklak,” “Daisy Siete,” “Komiks Presents Tiny Tony,” “Nasaan ka Maruja?” and “Tayong Dalawa.” He is currently seen in the mini-series “Agimat Presents Tonyong Bayawak” and the primetime series “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo.”

Coco starred in notable indie films such as “Masahista,” “Kaleldo,” “Tirador,” “Tambolista,” “Batanes,” “Ataul for Rent,” “Daybreak,” “Jay,” “Serbis,” and “Kinatay.” He is set to star in the upcoming Star Cinema movie “Sa ‘Yo Lamang.”

He won his first acting award in 2006, Young Critics Cirlce Best Actor for his performance in Masahista. He also won Best Supporting Actor in Gawad Urian and Golden Screen Awards for his performance in “Jay.” For his tv series “Tayong Dalawa,” he won Best Drama Actor in both Star Awards for TV and Gawad Tanglaw.

Coco Martin ranked 67th in 2007, 29th in 2008 and 23rd in 2009.
