24 Oras has just reported that Heart Evangelista signed an exclusive contract with GMA Network this afternoon to appear on its upcoming primetime series Asero starring Richard Gutierrez. Heart inked the deal together with his father and manager Reynaldo Ongpauco and co-manager Anabelle Rama.

“I’m excited, it’s something new it’s like, para syang bagong school kung baga, a different university so.. kinakabahan pero I know everything is settled, I’m just challenge with what they have in stored for me”

Heart is going to be Richard’s leading lady in Asero which also stars Ehra Madrigal. They will shoot the series in Dubai.

Aside from the said action series, Heart will also join the cast of SOP and she will also star in an upcoming sine novela and koreanovela adaptation according to Wilma Galvante, GMA’s Vice President for Entertainment TV.

Heart left Genesis Entertainment last week together with Jericho Rosales. Although they both left ABS-CBN’s Star Magic, it’s unsure if Jericho will follow her on GMA. Rumor has it that she already broke-up with Jericho that’s why she decided to transfer to the kapuso network.
