RP Wins 6 Golds on Thursday, Back to 5th Place Overall

The Philippine men's basketball team defended it's title by winning the gold, beating host Thailand by 94-53, in the ongoing Southeast Asian Games. The Philippine women's and men's softball team also grabbed one gold each. However, sad news abounded the boxing arena as the Philippine team claimed their 5 lady boxers were robbed of golds by the host country. As a gesture to protest the ongoing cheating, some RP male boxers forfeited their gold medal bouts this afternoon. On Thursday, the Philippines has bagged 6 gold, 20 silver, 10 bronze medals for a total of 39 gold, 71 silver, and 86 bronze medals so far, according to the official SEA Games website.
