Wonderlast Films Takes a Bold Step into Feature Cinema with ‘Andoy’

Wonderlast Films is taking a bold step into feature cinema with “Andoy,” their first full-length film after years of crafting branded stories, digital campaigns, music videos, and short films. This collaboration marks a new chapter in their creative journey, a locally rooted story told with a distinctive voice.

Andoy centers on a premise that blends performance with a descent into darkness. Hired for what seems to be a simple private show, a clown’s cheerful mask begins to crack—unleashing a darkness so disturbing that the night’s celebration becomes a nightmare no one will forget. The film promises to push boundaries by examining the tension between entertainment, masks, and the personal shadows that lie beneath performance.

Leading the ensemble is Cedric Juan, who earned Best Actor at the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival for GomBurZa, in the titular role of Andoy. He is joined by a compelling cast that includes Jennica Garcia, Albie Casiño, Paolo Gumabao, Aya Fernandez, Harly Daria, Victor Relosa, Angelica Lao, Vic Romano, and Ivy Nuqui. Together, they bring depth, energy, and nuance to a story that sits at the intersection of theater, cinema, and the psychology of spectacle.

Infinix Philippines is co-presenting the project and supporting the film’s creative journey as part of its ongoing advocacy to empower local storytellers and emerging filmmakers. This collaboration underscores a shared belief that technology and artistry can amplify storytelling, enabling more audiences to experience bold, Philippine-made cinema.

What to expect from “Andoy” includes a bold foray into feature-length storytelling from a team known for inventive, visually engaging narratives; a premiere that centers performance, atmosphere, and the intimate dynamics of a world where a simple gig reveals something far more chilling; and a partnership model that leverages technology to broaden access to and appreciation of locally produced cinema.

As development progresses, updates on casting, production milestones, behind-the-scenes insights, and festival plans are anticipated. Wonderlast Films invite audiences and supporters to join them on this creative journey, with the hope that Andoy will resonate as a distinctive entry in Philippine cinema and a testament to what happens when bold storytelling meets innovative collaboration.
