Maki and Maxie Headline History-Making World AIDS Day Event

This upcoming World AIDS Day, OPM artist Maki and Drag Race Philippines Season 3 winner Maxie Andreison will be taking center stage in Protected & Proud, a groundbreaking World Record event by PREMIERE Condoms in partnership with Watsons.

Breaking Stigma Through Music and Advocacy

Talking about sexual health openly isn’t always easy, but artists and public figures can make a big difference. With their voices and platform, they can influence opinions often clouded by misinformation and help address the ongoing lack of sexual health resources, support, and education that many Filipinos still face. Their participation in a record-breaking event with thousands of attendees advocating for HIV awareness further strengthens the collective effort to advance sexual health in the Philippines.

Drag queen Maxie Andreison, born  Jayvhot  Andreison Galang, is a shining example of this advocacy in action. More than just a drag queen, she has been an HIV advocate since the age of 14. In one episode of her YouTube series  Bekitaktakan, Maxie educated viewers about common misconceptions surrounding HIV.

Earlier this year, her viral statement on X (formerly Twitter) responding to the Department of Health’s report of a 500% increase in HIV cases also emphasized the importance of protection, regular HIV testing, and the lack of government initiatives for HIV prevention.

Having grown up with supportive parents and siblings—some who are also members of the LGBTQIA+ community—Maxie found the courage to be unapologetically herself. Her openness and bravery have made her a respected voice for sexual health, SOGIE rights, and HIV awareness.

Today, she continues her advocacy as a brand ambassador for TRUST, a social enterprise leading the charge for sexual and reproductive health and rights in the Philippines. TRUST offers a diverse portfolio of contraceptive brands designed to cater to every Filipino’s lifestyle and choice, among them PREMIERE Condoms—making Maxie’s performance at the event a fitting continuation of her mission to break stigma and inspire acceptance.

Joining her in this revolutionary celebration of advocacy, protection, and love is Maki, currently one of the bestselling artists in the OPM scene.

Known for his emotionally resonant songs named after colors, Maki recently sold out his KOLORCOASTER concert and has become a go-to artist on trending romantic TikToks and love-inspired Spotify playlists, evoking feelings of kilig and  hugot to every generation.

He has also earned accolades such as Breakout Solo Artist of the Year at the 2024 Myx Music Awards and Male Pop Artist of the Year at the 2024 PMPC Star Awards for Music—proof of his brilliant artistry and resonance with listeners everywhere.

Beyond his hits, Maki stands for inclusivity and compassion—values that align perfectly with the event’s primary advocacies. With his heartfelt lyrics and colorful performances, he’s bound to move audiences and amplify the cause, proving that music can inspire both emotion and action.

Two artists, one concert for a cause. Together, Maki and Maxie will unite advocates and allies in a record-breaking attempt for the Largest Condom Donation in one hour, turning World AIDS Day into a proud and joyful celebration.

Be part of history at PREMIERE Condoms’ Protected & Proud—a World Record event aiming to set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Largest Condom Donation in one hour, happening on November 30, 2025, at the UP Sunken Garden.

Each purchase of PREMIERE Condoms Love Bundle Pack at Watsons Metro Manila stores or online (via the Watsons App, Shopee, or Lazada) comes with a free concert ticket to see Maki and Maxie live. Every purchase helps promote safe sex and directly supports UP Babaylan, an LGBTIQ+ student organization championing HIV awareness and prevention.

With each bundle, attendees receive 6 free PREMIERE Condoms at the event, which they can either donate or keep for themselves.

Joining this movement means more than just witnessing a concert—it’s about standing proud with thousands of allies, advocates, and changemakers to celebrate sexual health and raise awareness louder than ever.
