Creepy Nuts Shares Video for Dark Dance Cut ‘CHXXAI’

Tokyo, Japan — Record-breaking Japanese rap duo Creepy Nuts have shared a music video for their song “Chxxai,” off of the pair’s 2025 full-length album Legion. The clip finds MC R-Shitei and DJ Matsunaga performing in an odd pink room resembling a laboratory, with the pair delivering a high-energy performance. Directed by frequent collaborator Daiki Kamoshita, it’s an unnerving setting matching the dark groove inspired by drift-phonk dance tunes, delivered in a frantic minute and 39 seconds.
Watch the video here.

The “Chxxai” video arrives right after Creepy Nuts released the physical version of double single “Mirage / Nemure.” Upon its digital release in July, “Mirage” made history by debuting at number one on Billboard Japan’s “Global Japan Songs Excluding Japan” chart, with fellow songs “Otonoke” and “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born” in spots two and three respectively, becoming the first act to ever occupy the top three positions on the chart simultaneously. It’s just the latest global hit from a group at the forefront of J-pop’s expansion into the global scene.
After a busy summer, Creepy Nuts is set to embark on its first-ever Asia tour this fall. They are touring in Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing starting from mid October.

About Creepy NutsCreepy Nuts is a hip hop duo formed by the rapper “R-Shitei” who won three times in a row in Japan’s rap battling competition and the DMC World DJ Championship 2019 winner “DJ Matsunaga”. Their characteristic sound, rich with insights into social themes and everyday occurrences, often laced with a blend of wit and humor, backed by catchy and energetic beats, has won them a wide following. “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born“, released in January 2024, has been streamed over 800 million times and has topped the charts in Japan and many other countries and regions. Another 2024 release, “Otonoke,” has also exceeded 200 million streams worldwide. In February 2025, they released their latest album, a collection of hits titled LEGION, and that same month, they sold out a headline performance at Tokyo Dome. With upcoming appearances at international festivals and an Asia tour scheduled for fall 2025, Creepy Nuts continues to expand their influence across the globe.
