Angkasangga Rises to Top 11 in Latest OCTA Survey

newadmin May 1, 2025

Angkasangga Partylist (#107 on the ballot) is proving to be the dark horse of the 2025 elections, soaring into Top 11 in the latest OCTA Research survey—a remarkable climb that highlights its fast-growing national traction and grassroots strength.

The partylist’s momentum was on full display during “Araw ng Kagulong” held on April 27, 2025—a powerful gathering that brought together thousands of riders, delivery partners, TODAs, and kasanggas or supporters, in a nationwide show of unity and strength. The event, led by Angkasangga, served as a clear demonstration of its wide base of support and commitment to championing the underrepresented.

Adding to this surge, several senators publicly endorsed Angkasangga during the event, including Bong Go, Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, JV Ejercito, Francis “Tol” Tolentino, and Imee Marcos—signaling growing political support for the partylist’s platform.

At the forefront of the movement is George Royeca, First Nominee of Angkasangga and CEO of Angkas, who has long championed sustainable livelihood for over 50,000 riders. During the event, he expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed the partylist’s inclusive and non-partisan approach to advancing the sector’s needs:

“We’re honored to have the support of senators from across the political spectrum,” Royeca said. “Angkasangga is open to all who believe in our mission—regardless of party affiliation. What matters most is the shared commitment to uplift the lives of the millions who rely on motorcycles for their daily livelihood.”

Royeca also emphasized the importance of real representation in Congress:

“We’re incredibly humbled by the overwhelming support—especially from our fellow kasangga in the Senate and the thousands who showed up at Araw ng Kagulong. We’re here because people believe in real, honest representation. And in these final two weeks, we’ll work even harder to make sure their voices are finally heard in Congress.”

Angkasangga’s legislative priorities reflect the needs of a long-overlooked sector: the Motorcycle Taxi Law, a delivery rider protection law, and a Magna Carta for TODAs—key proposals aimed at protecting over 18 million Filipinos in the informal transport and delivery economy.

The partylist’s rise has also been boosted by endorsements from public figures including the Recto family—Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, Vilma Santos-Recto, Lucky Manzano, and Ryan Christian Recto—alongside Isko Moreno Domagoso, who called Angkasangga “Yorme’s Choice,” and Vice Ganda, the “Unkabogable Kasangga.”

With its Kalye Kasanggaan, town halls, and ongoing ugnayan sessions nationwide, Angkasangga continues to reach voters on the ground, proving that its campaign is not just catching fire—it’s driven by the people it seeks to represent.

As Halalan 2025 nears, Angkasangga is shifting from underdog to frontrunner—powered by purpose, people, and the promise of real change.
