ABS-CBN Wins Big, Bags Over 30 Honors at the 6th Village Pipol Choice Awards

ABS-CBN garnered over 30 honors, including the Hall of Fame award for Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan, BGYO, and MJ Felipe, at the 6th Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA).

Belle and Donny, BGYO, and MJ were inducted into VPCA\’s Hall of Fame for winning Love Team of the Year, Group Performer of the Year, and News Reporter of the Year, respectively, for three consecutive years. DonBelle’s fans club, “Bubblies,” also got inducted into the Hall of Fame.

iWant, ABS-CBN’s streaming platform, nabbed the Video Streaming Service of the Year award.

\”Linlang\” was named TV Series of the Year (Primetime), while Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, and Kaila Estrada won TV Actress of the Year, TV Actor of the Year, and TV Supporting Actress of the Year, respectively.

Aside from winning TV Host of the Year for \”It\’s Showtime,\” the Unkabogable Vice Ganda also took home the Movie Actor of the Year award for Star Cinema\’s “And the Breadwinner Is…,” which also won the Movie of the Year award. Eugene Domingo and Kokoy De Santos won Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor, respectively. Jun Robles Lana was also named Movie Director of the Year for the same film.

Kapamilya actor McCoy De Leon, meanwhile, earned the TV Supporting Actor of the Year award for his role in \”FPJ\’s Batang Quiapo.\” 

The nation\’s girl group, BINI, was also named P-Pop Group of the Year, while their hit song, \”Salamin, Salamin,\” bagged the P-pop Song of the Year award. Its members Aiah Arceta and Maloi Ricalde were also recognized and received the Breakthrough Social Media Star of the Year and Female TikTok Face of the Year honors.

Darren Espanto was named Solo Performer of the Year for \”D10,\” while Daniel Padilla was named Headliner of the Year.

PBB Gen 11\’s Big Winner, Fyang Smith, was named Promising Female Star of the Year. She also won the Fandom of the Year and Love Team of the Year awards alongside JM Ibarra. Former housemates Dingdong Bahan and Patrick Ramirez also won the BL Love Team of the Year award, while Kollette Madelo and Jarren Garcia won Viral TikTok Video of the Year. Jarren, meanwhile, was also named Fashion Influencer of the Year, while current Kapamilya housemate and Star Magic artist Esnyr was also named YouTuber of the Year. Therese Villamor was also named Star of the Night during the awarding ceremony.

For news and public service, \”TV Patrol\” was awarded News Program of the Year, while broadcast journalist Bernadette Sembrano was recognized as News Anchor of the Year. 

VPCA is Village Pipol\’s award-giving body, which recognizes outstanding personalities, programs, and companies in various industries.
