First Annual Fil-Am Visionary Awards

The first ever annual Filipino-American Visionary Awards was held Friday Night, March 7, 2008 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood to give honor to those who put the Philippines in the map of arts and entertainment. This year's honorees are:

This year’s presenters were superstar Nora Aunor, Jennifer Paz (Broadway Singer/Actress/Recording Artist), Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo-Aragon of the Philippine Consulate General Los Angeles, Reggie Lee (Actor – “Pirates of the Caribbean), Lilia Dizon, Pinkie de Leon, Lani Mercado, Jessa Zaragosa, Michael Copon (Actor – “One Tree Hill,” “Power Rangers), Esperanza Catubig (Actress – “Dogeaters,” “The Vagina Monologues”), Giselle Toengi, L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca, Jean Marteriz and Bob de Castro (KTTV Fox 11 News nchors).

This year’s performers were Jasmine Trias, Billy Crawford, Kuh Ledesma, NONOSINA, Anna Marie Perez de Tagle, Martin Nievera, Jessa Zaragoza and Ding Dong Avanzado.

This year’s hosts were Jannelle So and Ding Dong Avanzado.
