McDonald’s Chicken to Change Flavor from Italian to French
McDonalds is stepping away from its traditional Italian-flavored chicken to achieve “a more neutral flavor profile,” media reports said on Monday.
The new premium chicken will be seasoned with mirepoix, which is a French seasoning made from onions, carrots, and celery, as well as salt, pepper, and “maybe a little garlic and herb,” according to Mr. Dan Coudreaut, the director of McDonald’s menu.
Also, McDonald’s is reintroducing the Asian salad in response to critics saying their menu is unhealthy for kids. The ranch dressing, which has traditionally been served with the chicken strips will have “more of a buttermilk flavor.” The dressing will also be available as dip to Chicken McNuggest plus two more sauces: the Thai-inspired hot buffalo and sweet chili.
yup here in Manila, McDo does serve crispy-fried, juicy-licious, MSG-and-seasoning-packed Chicken McDo with gravies and it’s price is the most affordable of all fast food chickens in the Philippines.
here in US they don’t have chicken, just chicken nuggets…I like chicken with rice and gravy in the PI…it’s so delicious and finger lickin so good!
The new seasoning to be used in MCDO chicken has MSG!
…….McDonald’s has chicken?
Wala kyang fried chicken s mcdo d2 s US
sa US lang naman ito eh… wla pa sa pinas
How about posting the complete information of seasoning, or at least if it contains any MSG. I get severe migrains when I eat MSG, so I cannot eat out at fast food restaurants because I never know if they add it or not.
Italian!!??? I imagine the French seasoning will taste exactly the same. Why not
just rename it “UNIVERSAL,OVER SALTED, FAST FOOD CRUD SEASONING”? It will leave no doubt that garbage is garbage no matter what you put on it.
