MANILA, Philippines — P-pop girl group KAIA brought their music and high-energy performance to the inaugural NBA House Philippines, taking the stage as an opening act on August 29, 2026 at SPACE at One Ayala in Makati City.
KAIA opened the music program, which also featured P-pop supergroup SB19, bringing Filipino pop music to the first-ever NBA House Philippines experience
The two-day event marked the debut of NBA House in the Philippines, transforming the venue into an immersive celebration of basketball and the culture surrounding the game. The experience brought together basketball, music, gaming, fashion, and entertainment for Filipino NBA fans.
KAIA added a distinctly P-pop presence to the opening-day festivities with a live set that complemented the event’s mix of basketball and entertainment. Music formed part of the wider NBA House experience, alongside basketball activities and skills challenges, NBA 2K gaming, memorabilia and merchandise displays, brand activations, and other fan experiences.
The inaugural Philippine edition also brought fans closer to some of basketball’s most recognizable names, with appearances from Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Jason Kidd, Tony Parker, and Lauren Jackson, as well as the Sacramento Kings Dancers and Filipino personalities who joined activities throughout the event.
The appearance marked KAIA’s latest connection with the NBA and basketball culture. Earlier this year, the five-member group was part of the NBA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore, where basketball, music, and entertainment came together in an international youth sporting event.
Their NBA House Philippines performance brought that connection home, allowing KAIA to engage Filipino basketball fans through a platform beyond the traditional concert or music festival setting.
As sports and entertainment continue to intersect, KAIA’s participation in NBA House Philippines also highlights the growing presence of P-pop within contemporary youth and lifestyle culture, bringing Filipino music into new spaces and in front of new audiences.
