One song, three very different voices, and a collaboration nobody saw coming. WOLF HOWL HARMONY has invited PSYCHIC FEVER’s KOKORO KOHATSU and ONE OR EIGHT’s YUGA to reimagine “ココニイル Kokoniiru“.
What started as a deeply personal ballad now has a whole new cast of voices, giving the song a fresh emotional perspective through the chemistry of three very different artists.
Originally released as the ending theme for TV anime Recommendation from Mr. Iwamoto, “ココニイル Kokoniiru” is a ballad written and composed by ☆Taku Takahashi of m-flo. The song explores the uncertainty and inner conflict that come with facing yourself, while quietly holding onto the will to move forward.
For this new version, KOKORO, YUGA and the members of WOLF HOWL HARMONY bring their own interpretations to the track, allowing their individual voices to overlap and create something new. Rather than simply adding extra vocals to the original, the collaboration changes the way the song feels, with different vocal colours giving new weight to its themes of vulnerability, connection and perseverance.
The collaboration is also a meeting point between artists who have been forging their own paths beyond Japan. ONE OR EIGHT has been building momentum internationally since their debut in 2024 while PSYCHIC FEVER has continued to expand its presence globally. WOLF HOWL HARMONY, meanwhile, has been widening its activities overseas, including continued activities in Thailand. Their collaboration on “ココニイル Kokoniiru” brings these different journeys together in one unexpected musical moment.
KOKORO shared his own thoughts on the collaboration:
“This is KOKORO from PSYCHIC FEVER. This time, I got to sing WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s ‘ココニイル Kokoniiru’. WHH and I are close, we talk about everything from deep conversations as vocalists to casual small talk, and I respect them deeply as fellow artists. I was really happy to get to sing this alongside ONE OR EIGHT’s YUGA as well. While singing, I tried to feel each other’s presence and pour my own emotions into the performance, and I hope it reaches a lot of people. I’d love for everyone to feel the chemistry between WOLF HOWL HARMONY, ONE OR EIGHT and PSYCHIC FEVER.”
YUGA shared a similar sentiment:
“I got to collaborate on WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s new song ‘ココニイル Kokoniiru’! I’d always thought it would be great to sing with everyone someday, so I’m really happy we got to do it in this way. All of us sang with one shared heart. I hope the feelings we put into this song reach a lot of people. Please listen to it as much as you can!”
And the collaboration doesn’t end here. Two more versions of “ココニイル Kokoniiru” are still on the way: one pairing WOLF HOWL HARMONY with YUHI of THE JET BOY BANGERZ, and another performed by WOLF HOWL HARMONY alone. Neither has been released yet, but YUHI has already shared what drew him to the project:
“This is YUHI from THE JET BOY BANGERZ. When I first heard ‘ココニイル Kokoniiru’, I was struck by how something so beautiful could come out of such clashing individual personalities, it felt like exactly what WOLF HOWL HARMONY is at their core. I feel honoured to be part of a collaboration on a song like that. It was also great getting to sing with RYOJI and SUZUKI again after a while. I sang this with my own interpretation and my own feelings poured in, and I hope it reaches a lot of people.”
Each version will bring a different combination of artists to “ココニイル Kokoniiru”, creating new interpretations of the same song and revealing another side of its story.
For WOLF HOWL HARMONY, the project is ultimately about connection. As member RYOJI explains, the group wanted to use “ココニイル Kokoniiru” to express their gratitude to the artists and fans who have supported them as they continue to grow:
