“LeMac’s talent is beyond her years, but her greatest strength is perhaps the ability to be both badass and vulnerable, sometimes within the same song.“

Following the release of her infectious summer single, “Running Home”,Vietnamese-Canadian pop singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jade LeMac has released her heartfelt track, “Sleeping with the Lights On”. This marks the third track from Jade’s highly anticipated EP, ‘It’s Always At Night’, due November 7th via Warner Music Canada / East West Records. Fans can stream the song HERE and pre-order the EP HERE.
A tender, emotionally raw track, “Sleeping with the Lights On” sees Jade LeMac at her most vulnerable. “How the hell are you so fine, while I’m out here losing my mind?” she belts, as she opens up about the raw aftermath of heartbreak. Jade has been giving fans an early taste of the song while on tour, and most recently featured it in her powerful Audiotree live session — a set that also includes “Constellations”, “Running Home”, and an interview.
““Sleeping with the Lights On” is another one of my favorites. This one is definitely a vulnerable song, a heartbreak song. This also was the first song where I really discovered my sound when it comes to writing on guitar.“

Jade’s impassioned storytelling has set her apart since her career beginnings, and ‘It’s Always At Night’ adds new chapters. The forthcoming EP is built on the artist’s guitar, whose poetic riffs—with the help of longtime production partner JVP (Mother Mother, Simple Plan)—were amplified to bring a bigger pop sound to the new music. One of the EP’s most endearing treasures is the vocal choir woven throughout, made up of Jade’s friends and family. Their presence is a reflection of the artist’s humanity, as she proudly takes her loved ones along her career’s joyride.
In the EP, Jade dives into themes of being in love and finding yourself through it all, opening herself to listeners and empowering herself through her vulnerability. Explaining, Jade says, “‘It’s Always At Night’ is a story about a person who’s in love with love. There are songs for so many emotions—heartbreak, desire, love, and lust. Each song is its own story about the different ways I’ve felt while being in love with someone.“
Earlier this year, Jade LeMac hit major milestones with festival performances at both Osheaga and Lollapalooza — even joining ROLE MODEL onstage at his Lollapalooza afterparty. Over the past month, the rising singer-songwriter joined GRAMMY® Award-winning powerhouse Maren Morris as the opener on her Dreamsicle tour. Adding to the momentum, Jade also announced her first Canadian headline tour, further solidifying her place on the radar as one of today’s most promising emerging voices.
A rapidly rising star who has received praise from the likes of LA Weekly, OnesToWatch, Rolling Stone and Wonderland Magazine to name a few, Jade was also recognised by GLAAD – the non-profit LGBTQ advocacy – with a nomination for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist — a testament to her growing influence and impact. With over 450 million global streams and more than 1.6 million followers on TikTok — her largest platform for fan engagement — Jade’s reach continues to expand worldwide. Her strongest audience base on the platform is in Southeast Asia, with the Philippines ranking #1, followed by Thailand (#3), Indonesia (#6), and Vietnam (#8). By unapologetically embracing her identity as a Queer Vietnamese Canadian, Jade has built a loyal, ever-growing global fanbase — and is boldly redefining what modern pop stardom looks and sounds like.
