Makati Medical Center Denounces ‘Irresponsible and Reckless’ Action of Sen. Kiko Pimentel
Makati Medical Center, one of the country’s leading hospitals, released a statement calling out Sen. Koko Pimentel for “breaching infection control protocols” when he brought his pregnant wife for delivery. The senator was announced positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
Here is the full statement of MMC:
In a report by GMA News, the Senator denied claims that he toured around the hospital.
“Since I was already inside, then I had to leave. Hence, I had to walk out of the hospital. Walking out po iyon, not touring. I told the OB even before I told my wife. Then I left her in the hospital. I never went inside the delivery room,” he said.
He clarified that he accompanied his pregnant wife who got checked in at the hospital at around 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. But he only learned that he was positive for COVID-19 at around 9:00pm when the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) called him regarding his test results.
Good info. Lucky me I recently found your blog by chance (stumbleupon). I have saved as a favorite for later!
Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Taking the time and actual effort to produce a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and never seem to get anything done.
Seems like a new ord for incompetance.
