Geraldine Jennings Finds Empowerment Amid Heartbreak in Debut Single ‘If I Will Ever Love Again’
Up-and-coming artist Geraldine Jennings is stepping into a new era as she launches her debut single “If I Will Ever Love Again” under Star Music.
The track, which was composed by Ogie Alcasid, explores the pain of a tough breakup and wondering if one can find the courage to love again.
Geraldine recounted her reaction listening to the song for the first time and how elated she is to have her first single under Star Music.“It’s about loving someone and the feeling of heartbreak which I’m sure a lot of people have experienced. But I wanted to add a sense of empowerment towards the end of the song that you will be able to love again,” the new Kapamilya artist said.
“I’m very grateful and excited to be part of Star Music. It is a very reputable company, so to be able to be part of it for my first ever single is a dream come true,” she added.
Geraldine released the music video for “If I Will Ever Love Again” last Sept. 20 where she starred alongside Filipino-German model Kirk Bondad.
At a young age, the budding singer-actress loved watching live performances of various artists. Her passion for music led her to venture into musical theater singing classes. “As a child, I loved watching performances, concerts, and films on television. From then on, I knew I wanted to also be performing on stage in front of people,” she shared.
She was able to showcase her remarkable talent in “Teenstar UK” where she was the youngest finalist in the British singing competition and in the Open Mic 2020 competition held at the O2 Arena in London where she won the future music development award. She considers Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, and Katy Perry as her musical influences.
