Bretman Rock, Manila Luzon, Fil-Am Celebs Attend Kathryn & Dolly’s ‘A Very Good Girl’ Hollywood Premiere
The Filipino-American community came out strong to show their support for the Hollywood premiere of Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon’s “A Very Good Girl” with Bretman Rock, “Rupaul’s Drag Race” alumnus Manila Luzon, “She Hulk: Attorney at Law” actor Ginger Gonzaga, and other Fil-Am celebrities from the film, TV, and theater community gracing the historic event.
As the first Filipino movie to ever have a Hollywood premiere, Kathryn and Dolly expressed their gratitude to the Fil-Am celebrities and Asian Americans who showed up at the premiere night held at The Silver Screen, Pacific Design Theater in Los Angeles, California.
“Thank you all for coming tonight. This is a very historic moment for ABS-CBN, not just for our company, but for Philippine cinema in general. I feel like we have waited for so many years for Filipino stories to get told in the U.S. market and we’re finally doing it,” ABS-CBN Films head Kriz Gazmen said, saying this marks the beginning of Filipino films getting the recognition it deserves abroad.
Other executives present at the premiere night were ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO of Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi.
US theatrical screenings of “A Very Good Girl” will begin on October 6. Besides the US, the movie is showing in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Guam and Saipan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nigeria, and in the Middle East.
