Garrett Bolden Drops New Single ‘Pwede Pa Ba’

The Clash alumnus and Kapuso Soul Balladeer Garrett Bolden has released his new single, “Pwede Pa Ba” under GMA Records.

During the virtual blogcon for the single, the Olongapo City native pointed out that “Pwede Pa Ba” is different from his previous songs because it’s in tagalog and it’s composed and written by himself.

“This is the first time actually to release a Tagalog song na original na composed ko rin with the collaboration with my bandmates. My songwriting process po kasi is not only my experiences pero parang ina-absorb ko po yung mga experiences and stories ng mga tao sa paligid ko, and mga situations na nakikita ko, kumbaga ‘yung emotion ng song is a collective events ng kung anu-anong mga nangyari sa buhay ko rin. And syempre napagdaanan ko rin ‘yung naghiwalay pero parang pwede pa bang bumalik ulit, ganyan, so when the song was completed parang na-feel ko, ang daming feel nung song na feeling ko kahit hindi lang din sa lovelife e,” he shared.

According to Garrett, Filipinos are fond of listening to “hugot” songs and he wants “Pwede Pa Ba” to become a song that can hug them in times of sadness and loneliness because it’s very relatable.

“‘Pwede Pa Ba’ is like when you guys are together, kumbaga, nasa relationship kayo and then everything fell apart, and then naghiwalay kayo, but then you realize na you wanted to go back into that relationship pero you kinda felt na hindi na siya puwede. That situation really happens to a lot of people–nagsisisi, gustong bumalik sa dati pero hindi na puwede,” he said.

“Pwede Pa Ba” debuted at no. 3 of iTunes Philippines when it was released last January 28.

“Pwede Pa Ba” is now available for streaming on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and other digital platforms worldwide.
