Beatrice Luigi Gomez, One of the Favorites at the 70th Miss Universe Competition

Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez has emerged as one of the frontrunners in the 70th Miss Universe Competition that will air LIVE from Eilat, Israel this Monday (December 13) on A2Z channel 11 starting at 7:30 am.

Beatrice made it on the “First Hot Picks” list of leading beauty pageant website Missosology, ranking number eight among candidates that have shown their prowess early, according to the website’s core group of correspondents and experts.

Since arriving in Israel, the Cebuana beauty has dazzled pageant fans with her beauty and unique personality. In a recent report by Dyan Castillejo for “TV Patrol,” Beatrice revealed that she looks up to reigning Miss Universe Andrea Meza of Mexico when it comes to her approach to the competition.

“All of the girls last year were equally gorgeous and intelligent but if there’s one thing that I learned from Ms. Andrea Meza was that she was just being herself. She was not trying so hard. And it is very important to be who you are,” she shared.

“Being Bea Luigi Gomez is her biggest weapon,” said Miss Universe Philippines Organization director for communications Voltaire Tayag in the same report.

“She’s the first ever openly bisexual (candidate). She’s also part of the Philippine Navy Reserve. She’s a volleyball player and she’s also a community development worker. So napaka-daming parts na napaka-interesting niyang tao,” he explained.

Also predicted to make a run for the crown are delegates from Japan, Chile, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, India, Colombia, and this year’s heavy favorite Paraguay.

Once again, ABS-CBN partners with Miss Universe to bring the most beautiful day in the universe to Filipinos. They can watch and support Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez in her quest to become the fifth Filipino winner in the prestigious event LIVE on December 13, 7:30 am on A2Z channel 11 with same day replay at 11 pm. Watch it again on Kapamilya Channel on December 19 at 10:30 pm and on Metro Channel on December 20 (7 pm), December 22 (1 pm), and December 25 (10 pm).
