After 8 years of being a Kapuso, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista renewed his contract with GMA-7. He is nothing but thankful for the opportunities that the network gave him since his transfer in 2013. And upon strengthening his ties to his mother studio, he’s proud to say that he is still a Kapuso.

“I am proud to be a Kapuso because we are still able to entertain people, and able to give service in terms of news and information, as well. I am proud also, because they have been there for me through thick and thin these last few years, and I’m hoping for more years of wonderful fellowship, wonderful entertainment, and shows as well,” he said.

During the mediacon for Christian’s contract renewal, the host/singer expressed his contentment with the way GMA handled his career.

“I was given all of the platforms. All of them, to the point na I was even part of Alden Richards’ virtual reality concert as a line producer, something na I’ve always wanting to try as well. And I’ve learned also so much sa show na ‘yun even behind the camera, how concerts work specially in this new normal. I am also given opportunities to suggest, to propose, to give ideas, to wrestle with ideas, ang sarap ng feeling na you’re able to do that” he quipped.

Looking forward, Christian is prepping up for the highly-anticipated fourth season of “The Clash” where he serves as one of the judges.

“I will focus on ‘The Clash’ season four first kasi as I’ve said I’m so excited to this new energy na papasok sa ‘The Clash’ season 4. As a judge, and siguro as a contestant, ‘yung youthful energy nila na pabukas na ulit ang mundo slightly, I’m so excited for that and those battles,” he said.

What does the contract renewal mean to Christian personally?

“Personally, it’s my gift to my wife and my family na parang ‘hey, look, this wonderful company still believes in me and we will still be able to work together for the common purpose of entertaining the Filipinos and to provide for this family, so it’s big. It’s really a big big thing for me,” he said.
