Luke Conde Gears Up for Several Acting Projects Now that He’s a New Kapuso

It’s official. Luke Conde is now a Kapuso!

The Hashtag member signed a contract with GMA Artist Center on Wednesday, July 16, 2021.

In an Instagram post, Luke expressed his gratitude for the upcoming projects that GMA has in store for him.

“I am more than happy to share that I am a Kapuso na po! Thank you sooo much @gmanetwork for this great opportunity. I will do my very best for every project that you will give me.”

In a pocket mediacon after signing the contract, Luke is thankful above anything else.

“Thankful ako of course finally nga naging Kapuso na ako kasi I’ve been waiting for this answered prayer for so many months na or days so ‘yun sobrang thanful ako sa opportunity na binigay sa akin ng Kapuso network at maging bahagi ng Kapuso network.”

Among the first Kapuso celebrities who welcomed Luke in the network were Kelvin Miranda, Cai Cortes, Albert Martinez, and other cast members of “Wish Ko Lang” 19th-anniversary episode which served as the actor’s first project on GMA.

He is also expected to star in an episode of the new Kapuso drama anthology called “Status Pumapag-ibig.” Titled “Never Say Goodbye,” Luke will co-star with Jak Roberto and Klea Pineda, although it’s not yet revealed if the said show is similar to “I Can See You” where each episode will have a one-week run or just a single served TV movie. Nevertheless, it’s refreshing to see Luke honing his acting skills by taking various roles.

As the actor gained a number of acting projects now that he’s a Kapuso, he has a message to the young people of today to give chance to locally made drama series now that k-dramas and other foreign shows are very popular to gen-zs.

“Parang message ko rin sa sarili ko yan, I’ll be honest kasi during the time na ano talagang na-focus talaga ako sa, of course Korean drama at ibang available drama sa ibang streaming platforms, I can say na give chance ngayon specially with projects na ginagawa or gagawin ng GMA because I myself, meron akong isang napanood ‘yung “Lost Recipe,” I watched that at may ilang mga episodes akong nakita and I also watched some episodes ng ‘Wish Ko Lang’ and it’s refreshing to see how they made ‘yung series at saka mga palabas na ‘yun dahil nagkaroon ako ng…parang nagbago ‘yung kulay, may ibang atake sa story, so for mga millennials and gen-zs, give chance ‘dun sa ating mga gawang Pinoy na mga projects because you will find something na magiging interesting din for you na panoorin. We have a lot of talented and creative writers and ‘yung mga artists natin ay hindi magpapahuli when it comes to acting so just give chance. ‘Yun lang talaga ‘yon. Try to watch at least one and we’ll see from there kung, hindi ko alam kung, alam mo ‘yun kung di ka ma-hook or di ka ma-convince hindi ko na lang talaga alam pero just give chance, ‘yun lang.”
