9 Singers Get Another Shot at ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ Grand Finals

Nine former quarterfinalists are setting out to prove they deserve a spot in the grand finals of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” as they return to “It’s Showtime” this week for the competition’s “Resbakbakan.”

Fighting their way to victory are Donna Gift Ricafrente, Evelyn Grace Martinez, and Shan Dela Vega of Laguna, Opalhene Paghubasan of Muntinlupa, Isaac Zamudio of Mandaluyong City, Luis Gragera of Rizal, and Marigelle Aguda, Erwin Diaz, and Rommel Arellano of Batangas.

In this “Resbakbakan,” the singers will be challenging each other in three-way battles to get the coveted seat of power.

The ‘resbaker’ who tallies the highest score in a battle will get the seat of power, while the lowest scorer will ultimately get eliminated from the competition.

The one occupying the seat of power, meanwhile, can choose to compete the next day or take a break from performing. However, they must renounce the seat of power and choose two ‘resbakers’ who will face off with the top 2 singer.

The one who will remain the strongest in the end will qualify for the grand finals and battle with Mara Tumale, JM Yosures, and Ayegee Paredes, who triumphed in last week’s semifinals.

Which of the nine singers will remain the strongest and qualify for the grand finals?

“It’s Showtime” airs at noon from Mondays to Saturdays on A2Z channel on digital and analog broadcast. Digital TV box users can scan and look for A2Z channel in Metro Manila and in some parts of Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, and Pampanga.
