BTS’ Jimin, Jungkook and V Set Music Records as Solo Artists in Various Platforms

BTS’ Maknae line Jimin, V, and Jungkook are making waves around the world as solo artists, setting music records for themselves aside from what their group has already done.

Park Jimin, BTS’ main dancer and lead vocalist, extends his Spotify record as the only Korean solo artist to have 4 songs surpassing 60 million streams on the platform. Take note that Jimin’s solo songs as b-side tracks like “Filter” (Map of The Soul: 7), “Lie” (Wings), “Intro: Serendipity” (Love Yourself: Her) and “Serendipity Full Length Edition” (Love Yourself: Tear) have surpassed 60 million streams without any promotion.

Meanwhile, Kim Taehyung also known as V, becomes the first and only Asian solo artist to hit no. 1 on iTunes in record 92 countries. V’s single “Sweet Night” broke the 8-years iTunes record of PSY for “Gangnam Style” which hit no. 1 in 86 countries.

Last but not the least, we have the Golden Maknae Jungkook, whose solo song “My Time” becomes the bestselling b-side on BTS’ latst album “Map of the Soul 7.” Among the solo tracks from the 7 members, Jungkook’s was the highest-charting on Billboard Hot 100 and also the highest debut sales for a solo song on Billboard Digital Sales chart. It has been the longest-charting song from the album on the worldwide digital song sales chart as well.
