Son Ye Jin is Voted by Netizens as the ‘Most Beautiful Woman of 2020’
South Korean actress Son Ye Jin was voted by the public as the “Most Beautiful Woman of 2020” via a series of online and social media polls conducted by Starmometer from April 4 to May 22, 2020. The “Crash Landing on You” star garnered a grand total of 4,354,037 votes from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Online Poll.
Son Ye Jin ruled in three platforms (Instagram 2, Facebook 1 and Facebook 2) to win the battle for people’s votes. Her biggest rival was Thailand’s Lalisa Manoban who topped three platforms as well (Instagram 1, Twitter, and Online Poll). But after all the votes from six platforms were combined, the South Korean actress emerged as this year’s winner.
Son Ye Jin is a veteran actress in the land of K-pop and K-dramas and her career started to take off in as early as 2003 when she starred in the movie “The Classic” which was also shown in Hong Kong and China. Her popularity continues to rise after starring in romance-themed movies and TV series such as “Summer Scent” (2003), “A Moment to Remember” (2004), and “April Snow” (2005). When it comes to awards, she was recognized for her versatility in diverse genres like in “Alone in Love” (2006), “My Wife Got Married” (2008), “The Pirates” (2014) and the 2016 films “The Truth Beneath” and “The Last Princess.”
In the age of Netflix, Son Je Jin recently scored 2 global hits namely “Something in the Rain” and “Crash Landing on You.” Her notable leading men include Kim Joo-hyuk, So Ji-Sub, Jung Hae-In, Hyun Bin, and former boyfriend Lee Min Ho.

Meanwhile, placing second for the second year in a row is Thailand’s Lalisa Manoban who garnered a total of 3,852,340 votes from the six platforms. Last year, the BLACKPINK rapper and main dancer lost the title to Liza Soberano of the Philippines. The Filipina actress was not able to defend her title this year and even dropped to 9th place in our Top 12.
Placing third this year is Tzuyu of Taiwan who received a total of 1,232,298 votes. The TWICE visual climbed 5 notches up from eighth place last year.
Thailand’s Urassaya Sperbund and South Korea’s Jisoo Kim placed fourth and fifth, respectively.
