Migs (Yves Flores ) is a protective son and brother who reaches his limits because of a relative’s maltreatment of their family this Saturday (May 18) in “Ipaglaban Mo.”

Migs tends to his family’s needs and always puts his brother, Kiko’s (Henz Villaraiz) and mother, Mariel’s (Isay Alvarez) needs first. He is often the subject of uncle Dante’s ire (Dido dela Paz) because of his overprotective ways.

Dante stands as the patriarch of the Dagarag clan in Tugegarao City and is threatened by his sister, Mariel’s reputation as the “golden child” of their family. An ex-military man, his strict ways within the family are often deemed inappropriate and borders on sadistic and brutal.

He grows bitter and envious of Mariel, which the latter humbly dismisses. Hungry for prestige and power, Dante resorts to forcibly stripping Mariel’s property from their family compound despite her respect and submissiveness towards her elder brother.

To Migs, this was the final straw, so goes to his uncle’s house, and stabs him to death in front of his wife, with Kiko on lookout. The brothers immediately flee the scene of the crime but eventually confess to their mother.

Will Migs and Kiko’s confession earn them their mother’s mercy? Or will she bring her own sons to justice?
