“It has been a secret for so long. Kating kati na ako, I’ve been giving hints here and there,” says Derek Ramsay (in an interview with 24 Oras) who finally confirmed the rumors that he is transferring to GMA Network.

“It’s surreal. It’s unbelievable. I’ve been waiting all my life for this day,” Derek told GMA News on Wednesday, April 3, the day he was welcomed warmly by the management of the Kapuso network.

The Universal Leading Man is slated to star in the upcoming primetime drama “The Better Woman” with Andrea Torres. The actor revealed this first project as a Kapuso via his Instagram account.

He wrote: “I’m so proud to be a part of the kapuso family. Im excited to start my new teleserye with @andreaetorres called #thebetterwoman The welcome i got today from the kapuso family was overwhelming. #gmawelcomesderek”
