India’s Jennifer Winget was voted by netizens around the world as the Asian Drama Actress for the year 2018 via Starmometer’s poll for the Asian Drama Awards.

The Bepannaah star topped the poll with a whopping 1,140,105 votes defeating 11 other nominees from Korea, China, Philippines, and Thailand by 56.95% Winget won the Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actress in 2017. In 2018, she won Best Actress at the Gold Awards for her performance in the romantic mystery drama Bepaannaah (“Endless”).

Here are the results of our Asian Drama Actress of the Year poll:

Placing a close second in our poll is Chinese actress Shen Yue who starred in the 2018 remake of “Meteor Garden.” After the success of “A Love So Beautiful,” she played the highly-coveted role of Shan Cai which catapulted her to superstardom in various Asian countries.

The 21-year old is set to star in “Another Me,” a television drama based on the film “Soul Mate” (2016).

In third place is Filipina actress Kathryn Bernardo who starred in the the romance fantasy drama “La Luna Sangre.” The 22-year-old star is also’s Philippines’ current Box Office Queen as her latest movie “The Hows of Us” earned more than $15 million US dollars.

Rounding off the Top 5 are Korean actresses Song Hye-Kyo (“Encounter”) and Im Soo-Hyang (“My ID is Gangnam Beauty”).
