Kuya Kim Becomes a Panda Keeper in Hong Kong

The year may be about to end but it doesn’t mean you can’t go out and have an adventure. Kuya Kim Atienza does just that when he became an honorary panda keeper in “Matanglawin’s” trip to Hong Kong, which aired last Sunday (November 25) on ABS-CBN, and can be watched again this Tuesday (November 27) on DZMM TeleRadyo at 2 pm.

It is quite an honor for the Kapamilya network’s resident adventurer as non-veterinarians or trained professional panda keepers are usually not allowed to be close to China’s endangered furry treasures.

Before being allowed to enter the pen in Ocean Park Hong Kong, however, Kuya Kim was taught various do’s and don’t’s by the pros while he will also get a taste of the dirty work involved in taking care of these gentle giants and their cute cubs.

Aside from that, he also toured around Asia’s World City in Lantau Island, specifically in search of the Giant Buddha or Tian Tan Buddha, as dubbed by the locals, in the largest island in the Hong Kong archipelago.

Find out if Kuya Kim had what it takes to be a panda keeper and if survived the steps towards Hong Kong’s world famous Giant Buddha on Tuesday’s (November 27) replay of “Matanglawin” on DZMM TeleRadyo.
