It was a heartbreaking Valentine’s Day (February 14) for viewers nationwide as Alyana (Yassi Pressman) and Cardo (Coco Martin) finally reunited only to end their marriage in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

After facing painful trials without her husband by her side, Alyana finally decided to leave Cardo to keep her family away from danger. This happened after she almost got abducted by a group of unknown men and cried for her husband’s help, but instead of Cardo, it was Marco (JC Santos) who arrived and saved her.

In their reunion, they both reminisced their joyful moments together and the promises they made for each other. However, these were not enough for Alyana, who stood her ground and broke up with Cardo.

The heartbreaking episode got netizens emotional and shared their praises for the tear-jerking scene.

“There is always regret in the end. This is a huge lesson for Cardo, but he has to fight for Alyana until the end,” said Twitter user @JohnRonP.

The episode also attracted viewers nationwide as it recorded 38.4% in national TV ratings last Wednesday (February 14) versus “Sherlock Jr.” that only got 17.5%, according to data from Kantar Media.
