#TheOneThatGotAway Pilot Episode Trends on Twitter

GMA started the year with a bang as their newest rom-com series, The One That Got Away, trended on Twitter during its pilot episode. As a live platform, Twitter captured the highlights of the pilot episode, with thousands of #TheOneThatGotAway conversations focusing on how audiences enjoyed the fast-paced story-telling, witty repartee, and the stunning OOTDs of some of the country’s most popular young stars. The newest addition to the network’s telebabad line-up; the show takes a refreshing look at love and friendship as it tells the tale of Alex (Lovi Poe, @LoviPoe), Zoe (Rhian Ramos, @whianwamos‏), and Darcy (Max Collins, @justmaxcollins) whose lives become connected because they share the same ex-boyfriend, Liam (Dennis Trillo, @thedennistrillo).

As the story unfolded; fans rallied behind #TeamTOTGA, but also supported their idols and their respective characters, particularly Rhian Ramos’ squad of Twitter followers who were clearly rooting for #TeamZoe. Twitter was filled with audiences’ comments on the actors’ comedic timing and effortless execution of dramatic scenes.

Fans could not get enough of the kilig factor that the actors and actresses displayed in front of the camera. Some were able to relate with Liam and shared their experiences on the platform while others freely expressed their opinion on who Liam should be with. Even though there were hundreds of different insights, many could not deny the chemistry among the different actors.
