Days after getting into comatose due to brain aneurysm (she collapsed during a meet and greet event in Qatar last October 25), actress Isabel Granada passed away on Saturday at the Hamad General Hospital in Doha, Qatar. She was 41 years old.

The sad news was announced by her cousin, Joseph Rivera, via a Facebook post.

Here is his official statement:

It is with great sadness and grief that my cousin Isabel Granada peacefully joined our creator at 18:00 today with the comfort the family. For me she was more than just a celebrity but that of a National Artist. Cuz I’m devastated that you had to go so soon despite us just reconnecting our family just recent. I will miss you so dearly. We would like to request for everyone’s continued prayers for Isabel and for us family at this challenging moment. Maraming Salamat po.

Granada’s partner Arnel Cowley also released a statement:

It is with great sadness that my wife Isabel Granada has peacefully passed here in Doha Qatar. She has been a fantastic wife, mother and daughter. She always did her best in everything she did, whether it be in front of a camera or sports. I would also like to take this time to thank the Filipino community in Doha for giving their full support throughout this difficult time for myself and the family.
Baby..wherever you might be..just always remember that I LOVE YOU. and I miss you very much.
