Jackie Chan Teams Up with Pierce Brosnan in ‘The Foreigner’

“The Foreigner” pairs Jackie Chan with Pierce Brosnan in the action-thriller directed by Martin Campbell (“GoldenEye,” “Casino Royale”) based on the 1992 novel “The Chinaman” by Stephen Leather.

The film tells the story of Ngoc Minh Quan (Jackie Chan), a British Chinese retired Navy SEAL whose glory days are long past and is now a small business owner. His long-buried past erupts in a revenge-fuelled vendetta when his teenage daughter dies in an act of politically motivated terrorism. His relentless search to find the terrorists leads to a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official Hennessy (Pierce Brosnan), whose own past may hold the clues to the identities of the elusive killers.
