Viewers nationwide stayed by Ivy Aguas’ side (Maja Salvador) until her last breath in ABS-CBN’s hit primetime series “Wildflower” as the episode showing her death scored a new all-time high rating for the show.
The episode, which kept fans on the edge of their seats as they saw Ivy lying lifeless inside her coffin, recorded a national TV rating of 31%, more than double that of its rival program “Wowowin’s” (15.3), according to data from Kantar Media.
Also thrilling viewers were Diego (Joseph Marco) and Jepoy (Vin Abrenica)’s search for Ivy’s burial’s site and Emilia’s (Aiko Melendez) phone conversation with her dying victim.
Aside from winning the ratings game, “Wildflower” also dominated Twitter as netizens shared their sentiments on Ivy’s death and made the show’s official hashtag #WildflowerRIPIvyAguas trend nationwide.
Twitter user @chrstnflorida posted, “RIP Ivy Aguas? Well, i don’t think so, she’s a wildflower so she’s not going to be die right away.”
User @Just4TTTOP shared, “So yeah I came home. Then I caught my mom crying I asked her why, and she said it’s because Ivy Aguas is dead.”
Meanwhile, @msalvadorzone said, “The queen is gone, for now, long live queen Ivy!”
Now that Ivy Aguas is gone, will her plans to get revenge and search for justice also die with her?
