SAF’s Bravery and Sacrifice to Protect Coco in ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ Wins More Viewers

More Filipinos nationwide were drawn to “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” last Monday (Aug 14) as they witnessed the torture of Special Action Force (SAF) members who tried to protect Cardo’s (Coco Martin) real identity from the rebel group Pulang Araw.

The thrilling episode, which secured the program’s spot as the most watched program in the country, recorded a national TV rating of 39.8% versus its new rival show “Alyas Robin Hood Book 2” that premiered with only 18.9%, according to data from Kantar Media.

The episode showed SAF members Gerardo (Ejay Falcon), Katrina (Lousie Delos Reyes), and Bernardo (Ron Morales) enduring torture in the hands of Alakdan (Jhong Hilario), who tried to make them confess about Cardo’s real identity. However, they remained tightlipped and received more beatings that led to Bernardo’s unfortunate death.

As the story continues, Cardo still struggles to get the trust of Leon (Mark Lapid), one of the Pulang Araw leaders, as Leon still doubts his intentions to join their group. Things will also get more complicated when the police discover that Cardo is now part of the rebel group.

How can Cardo defeat Pulang Araw? What fate lies for Gerardo and Katrina? What will be the reaction of Cardo’s family once they learn that he is part of the rebel group?

Meanwhile, more viewers nationwide also tuned in to another top-rating ABS-CBN primetime series “La Luna Sangre” last Monday (Aug 14) as it garnered 33.7%, compared to “Mulawin vs. Ravena’s” 14.7%.

Watch out for the newest chapter of the number one teleserye “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” weeknights on ABS-CBN and on ABS-CBN HD (SkyCable Ch 167). Viewers can also catch up on the program’s past episodes via and for Sky subscribers.
