“I wanna be with Maymay.”

This was Edward’s direct message to Maymay’s bashers who accused her of not being the right on-screen partner for the former.

“My parents always taught me never to do stuff that I don’t wanna do. I would not be in showbiz right now if I didn’t wanna do it,” he added in his recent PUSH NOW NA exclusive interview with Darla.

“I’ve learned not to let other people’s thoughts dictate my actions. So if I didn’t want to be in a love team with Maymay, I wouldn’t be in it,” Edward further explained.

The former “Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7” teen housemate revealed that if not for Maymay, he would have quit showbiz.

“I mean… The amount of times I’ve thought about it because it’s been so tough and I didn’t know how to handle it [Maymay was there],” Edward related. “It’s not as easy… It’s not like the movies. It’s a lot harder.”

Edward hopes that these statements are enough to set things straight with the doubters.
