Third grade students from Ivana Elementary School in Batan, Batanes, are among the thousands of students who will benefit from up-to-date educational materials donated by SKY Cable and Knowledge Channel.

A total of four schools in Batanes were the beneficiaries of the initiative: Basco Central School, and Diptan, Mahatao and Ivana elementary schools in Batan island. Through SKYdirect, SKY’s direct-to-home service with nationwide coverage, the children will have access to Knowledge Channel’s curriculum-based programs. Donated to the schools were SKYdirect dishes and educational hard drives, as teachers received a training seminar to equip them with the now-how in using the new educational tools. Besides the multimedia learning tools, school bags with supplies were distributed by ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation.
