‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ Year 2 Premiere Scores High TV Ratings
Viewers nationwide watched the first contenders of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” showcase their vocal chops as it returned to “It’s Showtime” on Monday (June 12) to kick off the second year of the most exciting vocal battle in noontime.
According to data from Kantar Media, “It’s Showtime” recorded a national TV rating of 18.3% and drew more viewers compared to “Eat Bulaga” (15.7%).
Battling contenders from Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao, Cavite musical director John Mark Saga stood out as the competition’s first daily winner and now a second-day defeding champion.
In its second year, Kapamilya dreamers from all over the world can soon join the singing competition through auditions online and The Filipino Channel (TFC).
A bright future also awaits the next grand champion of “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” who will get P2 million, a house and lot, a brand new car, a ‘negosyo’ package, a music instrument package, appliance showcase, and a recording contract.
While the first “Tawag ng Tanghalan” and “TNT Kids” grand champions Noven Belleza and Jhon Clyd Talili came from Visayas and Mindanao, respectively, from which part of the country will the next grand champion come from?

Pwede ba ABS-CBN, sayang mga binabayad nio sa mga script writers nio, porbida! Napansin ko na halos lahat ng mga pa contest or shows nio ay puro mga revise at carbon copy sa mga naunang shows na hindi galing ng network nio? Kaya kayo nalalampaso ng EB dahil wala kayong originality. Bili na kayo ng maraming photocopy machines para mas makatulong sa inyo na kumopya. ang ganda!!
