‘Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids’ Grand Finals Airs on It’s Showtime this June 10

The battle for vocal greatness continues in “It’s Showtime” as the remaining semifinalists of “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids” prove their vocal prowess and fight for their dreams to win a slot in the most-awaited grand finals this Saturday (June 10).

Since Monday (June 4), viewers have witnessed the clash of voices among semifinalists, where Mackie Empuerto was declared the competition’s first grand finalist after singing “And I Am Telling You” by his idol Charice.

Francis Concepcion from Zamboanga del Sur also secured a spot in the grand finals last Tuesday (June 6) after he wowed the crowd with his powerful rendition of “Flashlight” by Jessie J.

As the competition gets even tighter, the semifinalists need to impress both the hurados and the viewers as 50% of the total scores will come from public text votes, while the remaining 50% will come from the judges. The semifinalist who gets the highest combined score each day will continue to the grand finals and have the chance to bag the title as “Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids” champion.

Meanwhile, the battle is far from over for the seven remaining semifinalists, who are all determined to be named the best singer of the competition.

Mindanao is betting on three kids, led by Kiefer Sanchez of Davao City, who helps his jeepney driver father and hopes to give his family a bright future through his singing talent. Shaina Allego of Zamboanga del Sur, meanwhile, prepares herself to reach her dreams at an early age after joining several amateur singing contests. John Clyd Talili of Surigao del Sur, the competition’s first ever semifinalist, is set to prove that he has what it takes to fight until the very end of the competition.

Hailing from Luzon, Jamiel Convicto of Cavite will show that his medical condition will not hinder him from singing his heart out for his family. Basketball player John Ramirez of Binangonan, Rizal will bring his great talent in the court to the stage of “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

The sole contender from Visayas, Sheenna Belarmino of Cebu, does sports and acting and gets good grades in school, but she wants to prove that she can also excel in her first love – singing.

Metro Manila contender Sidro Quilicol of Parañaque also draws inspiration from his family, especially from his grandfather and grandmother, whom he helps selling vegetables from a push cart.

Who among the remaining talented kids will make it to the grand finals? Who will follow in the footsteps of Noven Belleza as the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion?

As “TNT Kids” comes to a close, another chapter of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” is set to unfold as it again looks for the best singers in the country beginning this Monday (June 12).
