How to Maintain a Healthy Liver

How does one really keep a healthy liver? I wouldn’t know exactly unless I get a check of my own blood work to see how my liver is doing right. Most of the time, liver problems do not have symptoms on its early stages which is why it is important to do everything we can in order to have a healthy liver.

I can’t even begin to tell you how horrific it was for my friend to find out that she is developing a liver disease! Before you go in shock and have paranoia eat you up, my friend is alive and has no huge health issues right now because she was able to turn things around. She’s blessed enough to find out earlier than most people. I’ll tell you what the fuss was about; her health card was about to expire and she has not used it, not a single time. She went to the doctor a month before she renews her health card and have her whole body checked up. They ran a series of tests, checked everything from the blood sugar level to the cholesterol level. Everything seems to be normal until the doctor found out that her liver is acting up. Her only symptoms though was that she feels bloated ever so often and is having a hard time to digest food. That’s it! That’s the only thing she feels different when in fact her liver is actually on the early stages of liver cirrhosis. Though her doctor said she need not panic because again, it was still early and they can still turn things around. She followed the advice of her doctor and started with a very healthy, well-balanced diet and workout routines. She also looked after all the food she would take, juices and drinks she would have. After a few weeks, she’ starting to be really positive about it instead of feeling terrified. Another thing that her doctor suggested was to do everything she can to protect her liver and that means seeking for an aid in supplements.

You see, supplements cannot cure or turn things around for you if you don’t have any effort on your own. However, it can aid in balancing and providing your liver the proper nutrition it needs through supplements that contain ingredients that will benefit the liver. Adding Vitamin C and Milk Thistle or Silymarin can help promote the growth of new liver cells while strengthening the liver health thus the prevention of liver diseases. There are food supplements that are easy to buy which has the combination of Silymarin and Sodium Ascorbate but the only product that I have tried which I have been really happy with is LiverMarin. LiverMarin has Silymarin and Sodium Ascorbate that may help prevent over-production of insulin, manage SGPT/SGOT levels, prevent liver diseases such as liver cirrhosis and can even help prevent the liver from Hepatitis A and B.
