If you’re like me, one of those who need a lot of energy on a daily basis because of work and life, it could be hard to balance everything. Sometimes I find it hard to keep a good mood just because I’m always super busy, stressed out and tired.
Before, I would resort to caffeinated drinks like coffee and energy drinks until I developed hyperacidity and other discomfort that it brings so that’s when I knew that I need to have a change in my lifestyle. Aside from the fact that I am trying my best not to get stressed out a lot, I figured out a very quick energy boosting snack that I can make without added stress and hassle. The Peanut Butter Energy Bite
• 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
• ½ cup dark chocolate chips
• 1 cup rolled oats
• ½ cup ground flax seed or wheat germ
• 2 tablespoons honey
• Combine all 5 ingredients in a bowl and stir everything and place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes.
• Roll into 12 bites and store for up to a week
Flax seed is loaded with fiber, healthy fats and nutrients, Peanut Butter is filled with healthy fat, protein and fiber while giving energy boost and Rolled Oats is a good source of fiber, protein and nutrients.
