‘The Voice Teens’ Premieres at No. 1 in National TV Ratings

Viewers nationwide watched the first batch of teen artists impress the four superstar coaches of “The Voice Teens” as its blind auditions kicked off on a high note, recording a national TV rating of 37.9%, according to Kantar Media.

The program’s pilot episode made “The Voice Teens” the most watched program across urban and rural homes nationwide and beat its rival program “Tsuperhero,” which only garnered 15.1%.

It also sent netizens abuzz as they posted their comments online while watching the show, sending the episode’s official hashtag #TheVoice Teens to the top of the list of the trending topics on Twitter in the country and worldwide.

The four coaches already have one artist on their respective teams – the four-chair turner and teen wonder of Makati, Mikko Estrada (coach Lea); the astig singing beauty of Pampanga, Isabela Vinzon (coach Bamboo), another four-chair turner and the chicharon charmer of Sampaloc, Patrick Corporal (coach Sarah), and the mega fan of Cavite, Zyra Peralta (coach Sharon).
