KathNiel Movie Festival on iWanTV this April

As KathNiel’s much awaited return to the big screen draws near, fans can do a countdown and revisit five of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s best on-screen moments together by tuning in to iWant TV starting April 12.   

  1. She’s Dating The Gangster

Kathryn plays Athena, an awkward girl who mistakenly plays a prank on the school heart throb and bad boy, Kenji, played by Daniel.She finds herself coerced into pretending to be his girlfriend to make his ex jealous, but refuses to be bullied while doing so. As she deals with her supposed boyfriend getting on her nerves as well as the rest of the school girls’ jealousy, she also faces a surprising dilemma—could she be falling in love with the gangster, or is there more to him than his reputation?

 

 

 

  1. Must Be Love

In this coming of age story about friendship and coming to terms with yourself, Kathryn plays Patchot, who’s in love with her best friend Ivan, played by Daniel. However, he is infatuated with her cousin Angel, played by Liza Soberano, and Patchot ends up going on a journey of self-discovery and self-love. Along the way, the main characters are kept company by endearing characters: Patchot’s single father John Estrada who is traumatized by love, and “Sweet,” Ivan’s grieving uncle, played by John Lapus.

 

 

  1. Crazy Beautiful You

In this movie about family, growing up, mending relationships, and finding love as a bonus, Kathryn stars as Jackie, a troubled, rebellious girl, who finds herself forced to spend time with her mother who abandoned her in the past. Kiko, played by Daniel, originally assigned to escort Jackie on a medical mission with her mother as punishment for rebelling, ends up helping her deal with her issues while mending a relationship with her mother, played by Lorna Tolentino. Jackie is then faced with a decision to follow her dreams abroad, or stay home and go down a path she never considered before.

 

  1. Pangako sa ‘Yo

In the remake of this hit series from the year 2000, KathNiel stars in this hit teleseryere once made famous by Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa.Angelo (played by Daniel) is the rebel son of a powerful politician who falls in love with Yna (played by Kathryn), a simple daughter of a retired policeman. However, their love is met with outrage from their families, because they soon find out that their love story repeats history. Angelo’s father fell in love 20 years ago but due to misunderstanding and family conflict, was not able to find his happily ever after, and now faces past conflicts that catch up to him and threaten his family.

 

  1. Got To Believe

Kathryn and Daniel play Chichay and Joaquin, two people from very different backgrounds. Chichay comes from a simple but happy home, and Joaquin is the only child of rich parents. His life changes when he gets a brain injury after being hit by a stray bullet, and his overprotective mother hires Chichay as his yaya. The friendship between them blossoms, soon growing into something more.
