Canadian Superstar Shawn Mendes kicks off his “Illuminate” World Tour in Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

“Illuminate” is Shawn’s third world tour in support of his second studio album of the same name. As part of the Smart Music Live series, his concert in Manila is the only Asian leg of his tour. Beginning April 27, he will perform in Scotland, England, Germany, Austria, Italy Spain, Switzerland, Norway, and other European countries. In July he will begin a 29-shows tour in the US and Canada and will cap the tour in Mexico and Brazil in September.

The concert was made special for Smart subscribers as some of them got the chance to meet and greet Shawn in person via a social media contest. VIP Tickets for the concert and passes for the Sound Check Party were also given away.

Shawn Mendes is the latest global hit-maker brought to Manila by Smart. Other artists in the past who performed for the Smart Music Live series include Nathan Sykes and David Guetta.
