Enchong Dee Plays Reformed Drug Addict in ‘MMK’
A former drug addict shares his life story and reveals the tough times he went through before he overcame his addiction with the support of his loving family this Saturday (Jan 28) in “MMK.”
Portrayed by versatile actor and “A Love To Last” star Enchong Dee, Jeck started his addiction at a young age. He resorted to drugs and alcohol to ease the loneliness he was feeling after his parents decided to temporarily leave him and his siblings to work in the United States.
When his father Pio (Tonton Gutierrez) and mother Baby (Lara Quigaman) learned about his addiction, they decided to take him to California so that they could keep an eye on him. At first, Jeck felt happy with his new life, but that was only until he again felt that his parents had no time for him and his siblings.
He turned to drugs and alcohol again, and would even steal or defraud credit cards just to sustain his addiction. After being in and out of jail for most of his stay in the US, Jeck opted to go back to the Philippines, where he continued his wrong ways, leaving him penniless and homeless at age 30.
How did Jeck battle his addiction alone? What did his parents do to save him from completely ruining his life?
