Five of ABS-CBN Publishing’s celebrity authors greeted thousands of Filipinos at the Manila International Book Fair over the weekend as they introduced to Manila’s book lovers their new books from ABS-CBN Publishing, the country’s leading publisher of bestselling books and magazines.

Bestselling authors Ramon Bautista and Juan Miguel Severo launched “Malapit Na, Unggoy” and “Tuwing Ikatlong Sabado,” respectively

Ramon’s “Malapit Na, Unggoy” is a collection of fables for millennials. The first story revolves on a traveler’s journey with his monkey that aims to teach millennials the value of patience in pursuit of their dreams. The rest of the stories are injected with humor, euphemisms, and moral lessons.

Meanwhile, Juan Miguel’s “Tuwing Ikatlong Sabado” is a transcript of striking spoken word poems by Words Anonymous, a team of Filipino performance poets who share stories about love, loss, and inequality, among many others that resonate across generations.

Kapamilya teen star Andrea Brillantes and bloggers Danah and Stacy Gutierrez have also entered the publishing world with their debut books “#GOALS” and “The Big Fat Book of Self-Love,” respectively.

Andrea’s #GOALS is about her experiences and goals she has set in life that she shares with fellow teens to inspire the youth that they can be the best version of themselves even at a young age.

Twins Danah and Stacy’s “The Big Fat Book of Self-Love” on the other hand, is about self-love and body acceptance. In their book, the twins open up about their body love journey and how they eventually found peace with their bodies. Danah and Stacy are the bloggers behind Plump.ph, the first-ever plus size fashion and body positive web magazine in the country.

The three first-time authors also gladly snapped selfies with their fans and signed copies of their books. All books are available in National Book Store and other leading bookstores nationwide.
