PH Bets Kyle Ramirez and Jackie Zapata Make Final 3 of ‘Fit for Fashion’ Season 2

The drama and tension continues to mount in Fit for Fashion Season 2 with just three of the original 14 contestants still in the hunt for the grand prize of $100,000, and other fabulous prize packages. With just one episode left, the remaining contestants Sam Gaskin, 31 (#F4FSam) from Australia; Kyle Ramirez, 22 (#F4FKyle) and Jackie Zapata, 32 (#F4FJackie), both from the Philippines, have to show their determination to win and demonstrate to the judges that their journey of transformation is deserving of the top prize.

Episodes six to eight saw some worthy contenders and early favourites leave the show. These included Malaysian Deena Marzuki, 25 (#F4FDeena), who left in episode six, Indonesian Freska ‘Cika’ Darnadi, 34, (#F4FCika), who didn’t make it past episode seven and Australian Vladimir Musson, 29 (#F4FVlad), who fell in episode eight.

It’s fair to say that Deena, Cika and Vladimir were among the most entertaining contestants in Fit for Fashion Season 2, so what led to their elimination?

The judges revealed that despite being physically strong, Deena lacked the enthusiasm and mental strength to win which subsequently undermined her abilities and led to her elimination in week six. In her exit interview, Deena shared that the show had really inspired her to continue transforming herself, “It crushes me to have been eliminated. I think I should have been given another chance to stay as I was getting stronger physically, but I have no regret leaving this competition now. Everything I did was my all, and my best. I’m still very grateful for the opportunity that was given to me, and I’m not going to stop pursuing the new me.”

Cika’s performance on her last episode (episode seven) plummeted as she gives in to the emotions of missing her infant daughter who she was separated from since joining the show, as well as being too hard on herself as she continuously beat herself up for her weaknesses and failures. “I am sad because I have to leave, but through this show I got my confidence and vitality back! This was one of the most amazing experiences in my life,” said Cika. Cika announced that she will continue to stay fit with the help of her friends, and use her experience from the show to educate others on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Episode eight saw the elimination of Vladimir – who in the early days of the series was one of the most standout contestants – particularly in the physical challenges – winning MVP in the very first episode. The judges felt that he had not maintained his early dominance and while he was physically strong he had not
shown the same mental hunger that the other remaining contestants were demonstrating. Vladimir acknowledged that he had achieved what he had set out to do upon getting into Fit for Fashion (which was a hot body) and was now ready to go home. He explained, “What’s in the past is in the past. I don’t regret anything that I have done because I came here for me. I didn’t come here for the judges. I came to personally transform myself, which was to bulk up, to get bigger, to have that leaner, sexy, high-fashion body. That’s what I came here for. And look, I’ve achieved it!” Vladimir also shared that he plans to continue with his fitness regime and document it on his social media accounts to inspire others.
