Dean expressed the company’s appreciation for their efforts. According to Dean, “SYKES can’t thank you enough. You represented our company well and we take pride in what you have achieved. “

Led by Geoff Que, the co-captain of the team, the players in return mentioned how they value the assistance they got from SYKES during the Philippines’ biggest BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) sports lifestyle tournament. He said, “It is really incredible. Each of us has been playing for various tournaments but it is a different feeling when you are playing and carrying the brand of your company. We are just so happy because we know that from the very start, we have the support of SYKES and its top management, like Mike and Dean”.

Meanwhile, SYKESer Alfredo Fulay, stood out during the basketball tournament where he was hailed as this year’s MVP (Recreational Division). When he was asked what inspired him to consistently deliver those shots and assists, he said that it was primarily because he knew he has the trust of his teammates.

Aside from bagging the Grand Champion title for the Basketball Game – Recreational Division, another SYKES basketball team also placed as Semi-Finalist for the Competitive Division. Moreover, volleyball team players of SYKES made sure they created a mark in this year’s tournament by being a Finalist in the Men’s Volleyball Division after an intense game with their competitor.

Apart from winning those recognitions, all the players from the three teams agree that this tournament was a good activity to show other companies the strong sense of camaraderie

SYKES has among its employees. The players are also looking forward to the next tournament where they can compete and carry again the name of SYKES.

And as part of SYKES’ advocacy of promoting work-life balance in the company, Dean further reiterates the management’s commitment of supporting its employees especially in their future activities like this.

SYKES made history in the business industry in 1997 when it established its operations in the Philippines which now grew with more 13,000 employees.
